Pleasure Shows

Pleasure Show competitions evaluate horses on manners and suitability of the horse for a relaxed but collected gait cadence and relatively slow speed of gait, along with calm and responsive disposition. Horses are to appear comfortable, while being very smooth and able to sustain slow, controlled movements. All of our shows are MHC and NEHC affiliated.

The horses will perform in groups, showing how they walk, trot, and canter. Horses are judged on form, agility, manners, and performance. Attire is much more personal than Hunter class. Wear your most colorful equestrian gear and stand out.

Support the North Shore Horsemen's Association and Promote Your business - Consider a Sponsorship

The North Shore Horseman’s Association has run equestrian events for over 65 years. We currently offer a series of two Hunter and two Pleasure Shows. The emphasis of these shows is to help provide quality one-day shows for the competitor but also create and support equestrian activities and the horse people of the North Shore area.

NSHA Shows are a great place for new equestrians to launch their careers, yet still offers a challenge for the seasoned rider conveniently close to home.

We offer year-end awards to riders who join our Association as well as two scholarships to support further education. Applicants are asked to submit a written essay to be considered for each scholarship offered.

We hope you will support NSHA through any level of sponsorship to help us in these efforts. We are pleased to have the shows at our two venues, Bob-Lyn Stables in Amesbury for our Pleasure Shows and our new location Myopia Hunt Club in Hamilton for our Hunter Series.

We hope to see you there in person but if not, your sponsorship is appreciated and will be announced and noted several times throughout the day over our public address system as well as the advertising display opportunities described in our sponsor form.

Please help our organization accomplish these goals at any level you can. All sponsors are deeply appreciated.

Thank you, The NSHA Board
